THE Queensway underpass in Southend was blocked for 40 minutes following a car crash.
A Ford Fiesta had become wedged under the central reservation at 3pm.
Firemen had to lift the main crash barrier with hydraulic equipment to free the vehicle.
No one was seriously injured in the smash.
